What reading speed should I use?
200 words per minute is the standard average for silent adult reading. Use a slower speed for dense or technical material and a faster one for skimmable content.
How is speaking time different?
Speaking out loud is slower than reading — around 130 words per minute — so the speaking estimate is always a bit longer than the reading estimate.
Is my text stored?
